In this weeks I tried to find out why the Tile doesn`t display the personalized images. WP is like iOS or Android: it is NOT multitasking (like Symbian or Meego was). So once the application is closed or is not visible, this app can`t do anything on the phone. The only way to update the Tile or do something when the app is closed is: activate a background process. Every app can create a background process and this process is opened once every 30minutes (WP8) from Windows. On Shift Scheduler, this process will update the Tile... And here I get this stupid bug.
After some feedbacks and help (thank you Jimena, Ralf, Thomas, Barbara and René) I am on the right way to solve this bug. I was always thinking it was on the images but it is because I save the shifts in a wrong ways. This should be solved in the next release. I hope to release it in the next 2-3 weeks and it will be available also for WP8, not only WP8.1.
There is a workaroud: if you open the XML file on OneDrive, the document should end with this tag: </shiftplan> but unfortunately sometimes it ends with some other tags and so the Tile fails to read the shifts. You can try to remove the text after this end-tag and to restore this file to your phone... Or wait until the update is on the store :)
